![]() (You can only mount other Trek products on it though. ![]() I have one and it's a little weird but I ride with a light, computer, and bell and it makes my handlebars look a little neater. Shimano hydraulic brakes are extremely reliable and relatively easy to bleed at home, if that's something you see yourself doing. The Quick went with cheaper options of a Prowheel crank and Tektro brakes. The FX has a full Shimano drivetrain and Shimano brakes. On the FX both wheels are quick-release, which is more normal. The Quick CX 3 has better components, while the Dual Sport 2 has a bigger fork and a 3 × 8 drivetrain providing a wider range of gears. If you ever wanted to replace or upgrade your wheels, a front wheel would be more expensive and it would be really hard to find a matching set. The Cannondale Quick CX 3 and Trek Dual Sport 2 are both 700c aluminum frame urban bikes with hydraulic disc brakes. Trek FX vs Trek Dual Sport vs Trek Verve. Thru-axles are pretty nice but not necessary here in my opinion, and the rear is still a quick-release. Carbon reduces vibrations, meaning the 2022 FX 3 will provide a more comfortable ride. I have ridden both and prefer the Trek FX. The Quick has a thru-axle front wheel instead of a quick-release.The Cannondale Quick 3, Specialized Sirrus X 3.0, and Trek FX 3 Disc are all 700c aluminum frame urban bikes with hydraulic. I've always been really impressed with Trek's warranty department as well, Cannondale much less so.īetween these two particular bikes I think there are a few points where they stand out, although I'm nitpicking a little: The Cannondale Quick 3, Specialized Sirrus X 3.0, and Trek FX 3 Disc are all 700c aluminum frame urban bikes with hydraulic disc. I think the FX tends to be a little more comfortable than the Quick, and my customers who have test ridden both tend to agree. One difference of note is mechanical disk brakes on the FX 2 hydraulic on the Quick 5 and FX 3. The Trek fx is made with an aluminum frame, while the Cannondale Quick is made with a carbon frame. The consider upgrading as per budget and preferences. However, it’s slightly more expensive than the Trek fx. So if you the first tier that has disk brakes, FX2 disk. ![]() When I have to choose between them, I almost always choose Trek. Id say the quick 5 is positioned midway between the FX 3 and FX 2 as far as component level, maybe closer to FX 3. Either one would be a very good choice for your riding style. Those are both great bikes! You can't really go wrong with either. ![]()
